Nice (or maybe not) girl from the shires. Hertfordshire, specifically. Vocalist, singer, siren, songstress, godess, artiste, diva and every other synonym for feminine vocal superiority. Inspired by Bernini, Boromini and Caracci, the self-same Amy decided to decided recreate the tomb of Pope Alexander VII in song. Classical singer, classical chorister, classically proportioned (including golden section, Pythagorean triples and the Vitruvian man), Amy made her first forays into showbusiness as a women photographed for her hair. Later, whilst the head of a crypto-anarchist syndicate in Welwyn Garden City, Amy embraced the principles of Jazz, Funk, Drum and Bass, English Partsong, Nosebleed Techno and Second World War dress sense. She packed up her stolen Art treasures into a duffel bag and headed due north to Edinburgh where she commenced a degree. Parachuting into the local performance scene like a German spy, Amy photographed sensitive military sites inbetween performing in her unique way, the music of others and herself.Amy is principally a jazz singer, performing in various band settings. She is also a notable RnB and Funk singer and even performs with a band combining Jazz with Drum and Bass and Heavy Metal. Classically trained, Amy can sightread music and perform in any style. Her new mini-album - Siren Songs, from which the tracks on this site are drawn, was recorded at The De Selby studio near Edinburgh. It was produced and arranged by Chris Lyons, who also played piano on the tracks and wrote the lyrics for the Bill Evans song 'Very Early'.Amy is also a painter, specialising in portraiture. She is everyone's fin de siecle fantasy, hewn of darkest crimson jazz.Please do come along....
