About Me

I am a double bassist living and working in Manchester. I'm also vegetarian. I eat lots of lentils, vegetables and seeds. Seedy. I'm originally from the coast, the voice of the ocean still sings to me, but I quite like the hills around here. Occasionally I've dreamed about creating sounds that don't die away but keep getting louder and more resonant and start shaking the earth itself...This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5§ § § § § § § § § Click HERE To Generate FallingObjects! § § § § § § § § § § § § § § §

Band Members: I'm currently playing in the Nic Saunders group; jazz/classical crossover with 'Lyrical Diversions' and jazz/reggae with Skamel. They're all in my best friend list if you fancy a listen! Or better still if you can make it come to one of my upcoming gigs!
Influences: All sorts! What more can I say.
Sounds Like: The Irish Air is an arrangement of a traditional Irish tune that Shona (the flautist) did. It was recorded by the recording department at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester Scarborough Fair is another traditional tune made famous by Simon and Garfunkel! Our versions got a few chords done by myself and an awesome Brazillian groove which was the idea of master percussionist Rob Turner. Again it was recorded at the RNCM but this time it was recorded by Adam Hayto who you can find on my friends. The Meditation and Slow Dance was an improvisation I recorded last year in a moment of inspiration.
