About Me

I am a keyboardist/composer/teacher based in Seattle, WA. I teach at University of Puget Sound and Seattle Drum School. Some past and present projects I've been involved with include Bebop and Destruction, Matt Jorgenson +451, Tom Marriott’s Willie Nelson Project, Harrybu McCage, 17th Chapter, Katherine Moore Situation, The Black Vinyl All-Stars, Being John McLaughlin, Live Evil, Skagit Valley Mafia, Geoff Cooke Quintet, BMW Trio, and Steinwagon.I've released two acoustic piano trio CD’s as a composer/bandleader, most recently “Tree-O” (Odd Bird Records 2007) with bassist Geoff Cooke and drummer Jose Martinez. A third Ryan Burns Trio CD of standards recorded live, with bassist Jeff Johnson and drummer Tad Britton I hope to release sometime in '08. I enjoy the classic piano trio, but I also love playing keyboards, especially analog. Rhodes, hammond, and moog have been my main axes lately.
