About Me

I've been in a few bands since The Statics split in 1997. After The Statics tour of Japan in September of 1997 the band split and Karlis Gailitas, Alex Vincent and myself startred The Toyko Drifters in which I played guitar. Jerome Moyer later joined as the singer and harmonica player. The Toyko Drifters lasted from late 1997 to early 2000. During that time the band went twice to Egg Studios with Johnny Sangster and recorded a total of 13 songs. Most of those songs appeared on an unauthorized release on Rockin Bones Records. After Karlis quit and Jerome went back to school I formed The Bad Girls with Alex on drums and Joe Foucault on bass. I sang and played guitar in The Bad Girls from 2000 unitl 2002. The Bad Girls recorded once at the Bionic Ear Studios and one other session at Static Studios (my house). Each session produced about 6 songs. After Joe left the band, Natalie Parks joined on bass. Several months later in 2002 Joel Wood joined on vocals and we became The Repeat Offenders (version 1) in which I played guitar until 2003. The First version of The Repeat Offenders recorded 7 songs with Evan Foster at Freddy's house in West Seattle. The tracks were then mixed at Admiral Sound with Mike Firus. I quit The Repeat Offenders for a little over a year and briefly joined The High Beams to play 2nd guitar on a short west coast tour and a trip to NYC. During my brief time with The High Beams I managed to get fired from the band on two seperate occations. I deserved it both times. I then reformed The Repeat Offenders (version 2) sometime in 2005 with Marco Savarise on bass and Hiro Yoshida on 2nd guitar. Version 2 recorded 5 songs at Sound House with Johnny Sangster and was sold at shows in CD format. Version 2 also recorded 4 more songs with Gary Mula at The Dutchman and some of them can be heard on The Repeat Offenders My Space page. That band recently broke up (late 2006) and I now sing and play guitar in The Zack Static Sect with Alex on drums and Joe Foucault (yes that Joe, he's back) on bass. Both The Repeat Offenders and The Zack Static Sect have My Space pages if you want to check them out. If you want historical information on The Statics check out the Rip Off Records web site for a full history of The Statics written by my good friend Filthy Rich. For all The Statics techinical data on membership, recordings and releases from 1992 to 1997 check out the Grunnen Rocks web site. When your in Seattle be sure to check out The Zack Static Sect, we'll probably be playing at The Funhouse!
