"Waiting is good. Waiting is good" These were the words I heard one morning spoken by a wonderful human being and dear friend, and I still ponder them. Though I may not fully understand exactly what he meant by this, I can say that I have discovered something very healthy about "waiting". And humbling. And relaxing. And upon further exploration I have found that "waiting" can be quite an active experience, not just a passive one.

It seems that "waiting", with effort, can transform into "being".

I feel that ambient music requires a certain amount of "waiting" (both in the creation of it and the listening to it), which to me can be quite exciting and full of anticipation, subtle as the outcome may be. One can be guaranteed a very unpredictable quality within this genre of music, with no beats bridges or breakdowns to imply "what's coming next".
