Robb originally hails from Southend-0n-Sea where he exploited his R&B roots, the land of (Dr Feelgood, The Kursaal Flyers, Eddie and The Hot Rods, to name a few). He moved to Cambridge as a teenager and developed his harmonica playing beyond Blues to create his own, very unique sound. Harmonica is an instrument that he specialises on and uses it for session work and composing/recording. In the last few years Robb has been teaching performance skills in higher ed. and has completed a course in creative music technology. These new skills have been a real godsend and have given him the freedom to compose and record his own projects. He also writes and records for music library, and is passionate about films and film music and photography. At the moment Robb is working on projects recording harmonica with natural and electronic sounds with vocals. He has just completed writing and recording an album called ’The Wood’ which is a personal journey/project that he embarked on eighteen months ago - a project of electronic/experimental/ambient music. Past collaborations have been with Rick Fenn (guitarist with 10CC), Robyn Hitchcock (The Soft Boys), Dr Robert (The Blow Monkeys) and many other fine musicians.
