Studying Jazz in music school nearly killed me (yes, I'm one of those) but I soon realized that I'm not meant to be Bud Powell. I'm a singer/songwriter/musician in that order. It's a good thing that I figured it out just in time to help save the lives of over 1000 children. No joke, I worked for The Songs Of Love Foundation which provides recordings of original songs in every style and every language for children who are chronically ill or have life threatening diseases, free of charge. I was a ditty doctor and "The Sultan of Song". Go to www.songsoflove.org and give them some money or volunteer your time, especially if you are a self-sufficient songwriter or producer. One thing I can tell you is that I can't sing the song "What A Wonderful World This Would Be" with the same conviction because I now know everything about science books, since I publish them.
