ROBOTRON:2084

The Ultimate Conflict Between Man And Machine

About Me

MUTANT HERO
"The Last Hope for Mankind"

"DADDY"

Enemies converge from all sides, and players are constantly on the run, using the inventive 8 way two-joystick control to keep away from and fire continually at the never-ending hordes.

"MIKEY"

The object of the game is to save the last human family (Daddy, Mommy, and Mikey). You must kill the enemies as they converge from all sides. Two joysticks are used for play control; one for movement and the other for firing.

"MOMMY"

My Interests

Eugene Jarvis, a well known game designer and programmer, programmed Robotron:2084. He has produced pinball machines for Atari and video games for Williams Electronics. Some of his work includes the arcade games Defender, Stargate, Narc, and Smash TV. He's also known for the Cruis'n series of driving games for Midway Games in the 1990s. He co-founded Vid Kidz in the early 1980s and currently leads his own development studio, Raw Thrills Inc.

-Did you know Jarvis is the only videogame designer to have his work featured on a U.S. Postage Stamp? It is true, two 80's era children are depicted playing Defender on the videogames stamp for the "Celebrate the Century" series.

EASTER EGG1. Move the "move joystick" RIGHT and the "fire joystick" UP and press the one player start button.

2. Move the "move joystick" UP and the "fire joystick" DOWN and press the two player start button.

3. Move the "move joystick" DOWN and the "fire joystick" UP.

-When the last sequence has been entered, the credits will be displayed until the fire joystick is moved from the up position. These sequences must be done within a quarter of a second of each other. You can hold a sequence as long as you like, but when you let it go, you must execute the next sequence within a quarter of a second.
