I am Agent 17, codename: Otto.

Nothing is known about my existence before 1983, but in that year the Taito Corporation released the arcade game Elevator Action. It was a means of chronicling my exploits as a secret agent on a mission to acquire secret documents and make my daring escape from a tall building. Sounds simple enough, eh?

Well, nothing is as simple as it sounds in the spy game. The building is populated by enemy spies out to thwart my attempts to collect the valuable documents. Add to that the only means of making my way to the front door and freedom from the top of the building is by elevators (surprised?) or, between levels 20 to 16 inclusive, by escalators. The elevators seem to have minds of their own, by the way...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who considers themselves to be an aficionado of the golden era of computer and video gaming - the late '70s and the '80s - when the games were about substance and playability rather than flashy graphics that do little to engage your intellect.

I don't particularly care to meet any of those damn enemy spies who insist on shooting at me!
