About Me

Shepway FOE is one of more than 200 local groups affiliated to Friends of the Earth in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We campaign on national and local environmental issue which affect Folkestone, Hythe, Romney Marsh, Dungeness and surrounding areas.Our main campaign at the moment is fighting the proposed expansion of Lydd Airport (renamed London Ashford Airport), on Romney Marsh with 5,000 passengers per annum at present, to another 'Stansted' with a proposed 2 million passengers per annum by 2011 and 6 million by 2021.
