Liverpool FOE is one of more than 200 local groups affiliated to Friends of the Earth in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We are a local campaigning group of ordinary people from many different backgrounds, who want to make a difference and are seeking to inspire solutions to environmental problems at a local and a global level.
We campaign on local and national environmental issues that affect the Liverpool area such as transport, food and recycling and are working with the Capital of Culture to try to ensure a strong 'green' element!By joining your local Friends of the Earth group you can play a key role in transforming the local environment and you can also campaign on important global issues such as climate change. What can I do?
The simple answer is ..... whatever you feel comfortable with! Whether it is: letter writing, taking part in days of action, organising stalls or doing research - it all helps! How do I join?
Send me a message or just come to one of our monthly meetings. Meetings are held in the Green Fish Cafe (Upper Newington St) from 6:30pm to 8pm on the third Wednesday of every month. You get a free drink (tea, coffee or juice) and can order food after the cafe is shut if you are hungry. Everyone is welcome!
