.........I have jumped from place to place in my life and found myself where I am today. Now, whether I've jumped from the "frying pan into the fire", only time will tell. "Some of the time the future comes round to haunt me" (Beth Orton).....For now, I'm fairy godmother to Kendall and Jake, who remind me to smile when it's really hard and that "love you too" means the world. I remind them that there is a Santa Claus and a tooth fairy and the Easter bunny. I want them to know that not everything that goes bump in the night is bad. We've looked for fairies and angels and fireflies and monsters that live below the kitchen floor (they eat the magnetic alphabets from the refrigerator door.) They'll get older and they won't believe in the "goth fairy" that taps her magic steel tipped wand and makes us wear black. But that's okay, because right now they do. Later on, when they grow up, mommy will step in to tell them right from wrong and left from right and dark from light. I'm just shades of grey, and fairies, and refrigerator magnets. Matthew, I love you, you are such a beautiful boy with such a beautiful spirit. I hope that the world can redeem itself through the nurturing of children ............................................................ ................................................. ............................................................ ............................................................ ................... I believe in peace, I believe that God is too big for one religion. (I saw that on a bumper sticker...wish I could say that was mine....but I believe it none the less.) I also believe that we must have faith in our beliefs, as long as our beliefs when put into action harm none. I believe in Fate, the light at the end of the tunnel, and the gold at the bottom of the rainbow ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .......................... I believe in Karma; that everything happens for a reason and that sometimes, it just doesn’t make sense. But I choose to believe this rather than believe that every move I make has no purpose or is driven by a fear that I will screw things up for those around me. And maybe, just maybe, some of the mistakes I made were for the right reasons. I believe that people make mistakes, I know I have. “All we need is just a little patience”, sorry; I couldn’t help channeling Axyl Rose. It’s learning from our mistakes that’s the hard part. I believe there is a star in the night time sky named Taylor, and one named Katie and the countless other energies that burned out way too soon. But I have to think that we are all part of each other and will continue throughout time. That includes all life, no matter the genetic code. We are the caretakers; sharers in life. We do not "own"; but co-exist with all that is around us. Label me what you will, I will embrace it and peacefully move on.
