I have recently joined forces with 2 other multi-instrument musicians in Charleston, SC to form Echo 3. We will be recording a demo album in the next 2 weeks featuring 3 piece harmonies on a few of the cover songs we are working on. We will initially market ourselves to play cover music, but we are all song writers and will be recording new originals in the coming months.
Echo 3 has had three gigs so far, two of which were at 5 Points Pub in Columbia, SC. The last show went really well and when we were tuning up for our third set Mark Bryan (Hootie & The Blowfish) came up on stage and let us know he had enjoyed our show so far!
In the news, the famous luthier of Shanti guitars, Michael Hornick, is building my new custom Shanti acoustic guitar right now. It may be ready to be given to me in Telluride during my annual pilgrimage for my favorite bluegrass music festival of the year.
In other news I will be recording a solo album in May of this year. Stay tuned!
