Band Members: The AEP Program is a six-month full-time accredited course designed to prepare students to
professionally assist a 1st Audio Engineer and to be competent working in a professional
recording environment. The program trains students for the position of Assistant or
Second Engineer in a music production environment. Also, the skills taught are
transferable to other job positions within the professional audio industry.
This is practical training. It covers the theory necessary to understand core concepts, but
focuses primarily on the work ethic, session procedures and disciplines along with the
technical know-how to properly operate the recording gear found in today's professional
production environment. The curriculum is delivered through lectures and hands-on lab
work delivered by top engineers and producers plus regular guest lectures by world-class
