Music is my life. I guess you could say that I'm a classic under-acheiver. I moved to the Florida Keys in 1997 to "play" for a living. I am married to the love of my life and best friend, Suzi. The things I enjoy most are spending time with good friends, boating, drinking and listening to great music - preferably all at once, without any tan lines. I love the Island lifestyle and the people in the Keys. I also like my proximity to Key West and all of it's wonderful wierdness. I have never been a control freak, but must have balance, and strive for it in most facets of life -asthetically, emotionally, and sensually. I care deeply about the poeple I know well. I seek joy and believe that happiness is a choice as well as a result. I believe in now. I don't stress on life's "BIG" questions (anymore.) If philosophers have been asking it since the dawn of man, I'll probably not know it while I live. I love interacting with animals, domestic and wild. I can't stand contradiction or pointlessness but I'm as full of both as most. I'm fond of puns and clever plays on words. I like the challenge of puzzles and the satisfaction of solving them. I almost always can answer the riddle on a popsicle stick. I am definitely a small scale collecter of items that mean something to me. I own most all of the books and DVDs listed below plus many more. I collect fine Absinthes from Europe and Rums from all over the world. I enjoy sharing all I have - but I hate lending movies!(That doesn't mean I won't, I just hate it.) I generally don't lend books, but rather, give them. I tend to passionately obsess over that which brings me joy (I don't do things half-assed) and be generally apathetic about things I don't care for. I find That I almost always have an ascerbic remark or bad pun on the tip of my tongue, and usually let it fly. Most people have some kind of "filter" between their brain and mouth. I've been told that mine doesn't work.
Fun and friendly people. Lovers of good music, art, and literature. Green Fairy people. Sea Monkey people.
Happiness, Content, Joy.
The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.
Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.
The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.

Jeff Holmes and the Floating Men are as big an influence as anyone else I can name. Others named: Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Mike Oldfield, R.E.M.,Harry Chapin, Paul Simon, James Taylor and Suzanne Vega. One hit wonders from the 70's. I have carribean soul, I live and work in the FL Keys - Jimmy Buffett is part of the reason.
"MINERS, not MINORS" - "You lost me..."Galaxy Quest. That being said, Here goes ... I'm way too young to be a part of the American Graffiti crowd - too old for American Pie. I guess I'm of the Breakfast Club/St. Elmo's Fire generation. We all end up with The Big Chill. Big fan of anything by the Coen Brothers (especially Raising Arizona and Lebowski.)I own almost their whole library. I watch a lot of movies so it's hard to choose the best. Sci-fi is my favorite genre, old and new.Serenity. The Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis, Samuel Jackson),Body Double, All the Bogie & Bacall movies (especially To Have and Have Not.) Sci-Fi channel's Battlestar Galactica. Longstanding Trekkie and fan of all good science fiction. Babylon 5 is an old favorite. 24, but watch it on DVD without the wait or commercials! The Lost Room (Sci-Fi miniseries) was a great yarn, I hope they continue the idea. Dr. Who, new and old, both deserve their props. Buffy, Angel and Firefly - Anything Joss Wheadon touches is gold.Anyone who's not seen Buffy The Vampire Slayer's musical, "Once more, with Feeling," well, they really should. Mary Louise Parker's "Weeds" sure earned it's Golden Globe. On the lighter side Scrubs is a top pick as well as Boston Legal. Star Blazers was a childhood favorite,as well as Speed Racer. Twin Peaks was great but it just fizzled... Been watching all the old Soap episodes on DVD. Funny stuff! I miss the Seinfeld / Friends era. Reruns aren't the same. Love The Family Guy. South Park will always be a favorite. Heroes. Lost. I don't have Showtime, but all the Dexter episodes on DVD were creepy/fantastic.
The Dark Tower. Stephen King. All seven books that tie-in almost every book he's written. This series is his "Lord of the Rings." Speaking of which, The Lord of the Rings is a top favorite as well as The Chronicles of Narnia. Was a huge fan of Asimov and Piers Anthony in my "Formative" years. Richard Adams' Watership Down should be enjoyed by anyone who reads. Have consumed the complete works of Anne Rice incuding her "Nom de Plume" books. Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series really grabbed ahold of me. Dan Simmons' "Hyperion Cantos" is one of the best Sci-fi stories I've ever read. Stephen R. Donaldson's Series about the White Gold Wielder and leper,Thomas Covenant, portrays one of the most despicable anti-heroes in literature. Have almost read the complete works of Tom Robbins - what a ride! Robert Heinlein. Frank Herbert. Clive Cussler and Robert Ludlum for thrillers. Almost eveything Micheal Crichton has written. Richard Bach. Carlos Casteneda.(More as I think about it...)
Captain James Tiberius Kirk and anyone else who holds the rank of Starfleet Captain. Stephen Hawking, Abraham Lincoln, my Father.
