DILEMMA is a totally DIY band from Athens, Greece.The band formed at 16th of August 2002, by long time musical partners Sotiris and Poppy. The initial name of this band was 2Mautch.
DILEMMA is probably the first duet - band in Greece that appeared from the beginning in the alternative rock musical scene without the obvious form of 2 guitars, bass and drums. They introduced the saxophone, the flute, all kinds of guitars, string arrangments, drums/percussions, laptop and occasionally bass.
Furthermore they are writting lyrics in English and Greek as well.
Their common themes are urban alienation, self-journey, love-and-loss, metaphysics, irrational violence of the modern world, dreams, nothingness, nature's violation. But in a way that make sense.
DILEMMA avoid any musical or artistic cliques. They produce music as long as they have complete freedom.
They have already performed to almost all the musical scenes in Athens.
DILEMMA present their own angle through their musical stories, their condensed musical fiction.
