"LIVE ON FIRE" Reviews:
BRUNOROCK ‘LIVE ON FIRE’ (INDEPENDENT)
A new album of Italian singer/guitarist BRUNO KRALER aka BRUNOROCK. However, this time a live album, along with 2 new studio bonustracks. Together with guitarist BOBBY ALTVATER of AFFAIR, BRUNOROCK released a strong Melodic Rockalbum, which musically sounds like BONFIRE/FRONTLINE/DANGER DANGER and such late 80s orientated US Melodic Hardrock. The live recording is of a very high level, clearly sounding very professional and more studio perfect than real live, but who cares if the music is as strong as BRUNOROCK stands for. However, the real interesting part of the CD comes in the shape of the bonustracks, which are the fantastic “Julia†(a la CRAAFT, DOMAIN, DOMINOE) and “Time to run†(a la JADED HEART), 2 uptempo Melodic Hardrocksongs mixed by MICHAEL WAGENER (80s major label producer of RATT, DOKKEN, STRYPER, WHITE LION, etc. etc.). If Michael would produce the next studio album of BRUNO ROCK, we could well be in for a surprise, because that could be a sensational record. The artwork of MATTIAS NOREN is of high class as always and any melodic rockfan might want to check this out.

Back in 2005, we received our first CD “Interaction†from BRUNOROCK receiving 4 ½ stars. Bruno Kraler is the mastermind behind the project BRUNOROCK who pounds the melodic hooks into your memory.
BRUNOROCK is back in 2007, with a new live CD with most of the tracks coming from “Interaction†and recorded on the “Interaction†2005 promotional tour.
If you’re a melodic rock fan you will be delighted by one of the best live CD’s to hit the market. The production is top quality and the sound is amazing. The opening track “It's All Been Done 4 Me†is complete arena rock pouring into the front row as the crowd goes crazy and it doesn’t stop there “Now Dies The Truth†will have the fans on their feet screaming and singing along.
I am not big on Live CD’s but this one sets new standards. I loved the rotation of the tracks and Kraler’s charisma will have you focused. The guitar work between acoustic and electric blends perfect with many of the songs, and Kraler’s vocals are reminiscent of the SCORPIONS-- Klaus Meine. “No More Promises†has some riveting licks by Bruno Kraler & Bobby Altvater that accompany this hooked filled tune.
One thing that does disappointment me is that a band like BRUNOROCK does not get the exposure they deserve. This is a top quality band of melodic masters and I promise if you’re a fan of that genre you will be hooked. The songs flow easy with slicing guitar, soothing vocals uplifting keyboards and thundering drums. Maybe it’s me, but this is a band that should be known worldwide. Go to their site check em out and listen for yourself.
One of my favorite tracks besides many others is “Hard Working Day†which has that aura of past pop culture greats. It has will have you swaying and cranking to high levels. You will be singing along to this one also, I love the little break in the middle of the song that gives way to a sweet guitar riff.
Hold up it’s not over yet, BRUNOROCK give you two new bonus studio tracks “Julia†& “Time To Run†which were produced by famed Michael Wagener at Wireworld Studios. “Julia†is great rocking love tune with good harmonies and “Time To Run†is harder edged with harmonies almost in the vein of CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG.
Do yourself a favor pick up the new BRUNOROCK CD “LIVE†On Fire, or go to their site and listen.
