When they first met in 2004, they had one goal. To have fun and to make the music they always wanted to hear. The forces behind the founding of STONE WEDGE are bands like BLACK SABBATH, PINK FLOYD and KYUSS.
Four of the most different characters are conflicting and fusing with each other to form an entity. Gloomy, playful, shattering. Something between dream and reality. Simple stamping riffs and calm melodies found together.
First release, winter 2004 "Demo".
Second release, January 2006 "Stranger from right above"E.P, pioneered the "Desert Son" E.P recorded in May 2006. This one presents the band in a more experimental und groovy way than before. A trip through the desert, to the deepest ocean and back. You can download the complete E.P. for free since February 2007.
Since November 2006 STONE WEDGE are writing songs for their first long player. This time we are going on a musical trip heading Titan, a moon of Saturn. The album's name is "Titan Odyssey" and it will be released at the end of 2007.
The live shows are formative experiences. The four guys delight their audiences with the fun they have on stage . As loads of passed gigs with national bands like SAMAVAYO, SICKPOP, THE GREAT ESCAPE, MANDALA, MY SLEEPING KARMA, GASCOINE and international bands like VIC DU MONTE(USA), ASTROSONIQ(NL), ORANGE SUNSHINE(NL), BRAIN POLICE(ISL) DEBRIS INC.(USA), DEVILLE(SWE) proved.
