..my name is Christian Thorkil Davies. Thorkil was my danish grandfather's name. i was born in barnet, north london and spent my early year's growing up in southgate. my earth age is 35 years old. i was born on april 4th 1972. zodiac sign is aries. mayan galactic signature : white planetary world bridger. i am the son of Dave Davies of the rock group 'the Kinks'.i have 3 brothers. 2 older and one younger which is Abakus (see my friends). i also have 2 half-brothers, one being Daniel Davies, guitarist and frontman/singer of the LA based rock your arse off band 'Year Long Disaster' (see my friends). i also have 2 half-sisters. my spiritual name is 'sky'. i received this name while meditating in Amir's Garden in Griffith Park in the Los Angeles mountains in 2003.in 1993 after finishing an art and film foundation course at harrow polytecnic, i followed my dream of moving to Los Angeles where my dad also happened to move to at that time. i lived in the hollywood and west hollywood areas for a period over 10 years, coming back to London for short times in between. during my time in LA i worked as a runner/PA for movie and music production companies. my first job was working as a runner on a john carpenter TV movie called 'body bags' where i got to make tea for such stars such as twiggy and sheena easton! after working on that i gotta job working as a runner for the art department for a short lived TV show called 'viper' filmed at Paramount Studios which was like a dream come true! in fact when i look back on it now seems all quite surreal! getting onto the set of star trek: the next generation was an experience i will never forget and will always treasure! and i'm glad i got to share it with my brother russell who came out to visit me! another experience i will always treasure was when my old schoolfriend crystal and i snuck backstage at the troubadour's of folk festival at UCLA in '93 and got to meet one of my favourite singer/songwriters joni mitchell!around 1996 i came back to london for a year or so where i got a job working as a casting director's assisant for cannon, dudley & associates which was quite fun as one of my jobs was filming auditions! i filmed auditions for john carpenter who was looking for evil looking british type children to appear in his remake of the classic movie 'village of tha damned' which also my dad co-wrote the soundtrack for. the next job i worked on was looking for an actress for a rather tacky canadian TV movie where i got to film the now extreamly famous hollywood actress catherine zeta-jones! lucky for catherine though as after her rather cheesy auditon my video camera got nicked with her 'would be now embarrasing to watch footage' on it! man i could have sold that footage to american TV networks for big bucks!!!later on in the 90's when i went back to LA i worked for a music production company in Santa Monica called Humble Heart Music, mainly working with japenese pop acts and assisting two excellent lady producers who also worked on albums for such artists as barry manilow, barbara streisand and johnny mathis! at this time i was also assisting my dad (Dave Davies) helping to promote his US club tours, working on his new CD releases and creating and designing his website ... www.davedavies.com. in the late 90's i also took on the job of 'west-coast' tour manager for my brother Simon's band MASH! booking them gigs all around town and having a mad two week MASH up in L.A!by the end of '99 i gave up working for movie and music studios in favour of working as a waiter at my friend's cosmically cool coffee shop, Nova Express Cafe (www.novaexpresscafe.com) in the fairfax area of hollywood. it was at this time with a posse of south american buddies i began exploring the LA underground and overground electronic dance club scene, dancing at LA's best dance club 'Spundae' religiously almost every saturday night. i also began to DJ a little myself and booked DJ friends to play at the cafe.it was during a trip back to London at the end of 2002 when my brother russell (Abakus) took me to a psychedelic trance squat party in a warehouse in east london. it was the sound i was looking for! when i returned to LA i quickly hooked myself into the psy-trance music scene and discovered desert trance and full-moon forest parties!by the end of 2003, after many road trips, dancing and explorations with various chemical and natural hallunciogenic substances, (my favourite being psilcybin mushrooms in the california desert!) it was soon time for me to move back to england and re-connect with my family and friends and connect with the psychedelic trance music scene in my home country.since being back in london i have been promoting psy-trance parties and working for the Synergy Project (www.thesynergyproject.org) and work and DJ for id-spiral (www.idspiral.org), travelling around and playing at english summer festivals. i also have played at and promote the yearly global dance event Earthdance, (www.earthdance.org). i am also in the process of launching Dance Aid, (www.danceaid.org) which is a dance charity organisation which puts on dance events to raise awareness and to raise money for issues of local or global importance. stay tuned for further info on Dance Aid! i also promote, DJ and host the chill-out room for 'One Tribe' parties. see www.one-tribe.info.since i have been back in London daytime jobs i have had included waitering at veggie restaurants in london. i also had a job of stepping in as cook for GSCE and sixth form students at Wentworth tutorial college in hendon. pizza bagels was my most popular item on the menu and i thank the students for kindly accomodating to my vegetarian menu!the past couple of years i have been working as a delivery driver for the 'organic delivery company' (www.organicdelivery.co.uk) delivering organic fruit and vegtables and environmentally friendly products to your door. i have got to know my hometown of London like i never have before and i get to meet lots of great people and families in all different parts of this incredible city.other bits of info about me ... since i was a little kid i shared a passion for old citroen cars with my uncle claus and my dad. my first car was a citroen 2CV and i have a special affection for these cute french automobiles and whenever i see one (which is rare these days) they put a big smile on my face! things i hate are flourecent strip lights! they make me feel ill. i can't stand to be underneath them! except for the purple UV ones we use at psy-trance parties to light up very cool psychedelic art backdrops! i am practicing massage therapy and i have just completed Reiki II training and i wish to go onto to become a Reiki master and become a teacher of Reiki healing. i have been a vegetarian since i was 12 years old. i love indian, thai and mexican food!something else you should know about me is that i believe circumcision is wrong and that this archaic practice should be stopped. i do not not believe it is right to meddle with mother nature. especially with a most important and sensitive part of the male anatomy.i'm sure there will be more about me coming soon so stay tuned to this space on my space! if you want to find out more about me then you could check me out on tribe.net ... http://people.tribe.net/christiandavies - how far does the rabbit hole go on tribe.net?by the way my list of top friends changes and shifts around frequently so if you consider yourself a top friend and were there one week and then not the next, you will be back up there again!

I'd like to meet:

ram dass, mike pinder from the moody blues, christine mcvie from fleetwood mac, joni mitchell, again. james taylor, carole king, carly simon, arlo guthrie, yoko ono, alexander and anne shulgin, adi da samraj, marianne faithfull, richard carpenter, jason donovan, prince william and harry windsor ... i'm sure there's many more ... but mostly i wanna meet you!Welcome to CDTV! (Christian Davies Television!) ...i'm not ashamed to admit i am, or was more when i was younger, a car enthusiast, a bit of a geek just like this cool geek in this video clip. i call the guy in this video clip a 'cool geek' coz this car geek owns what i consider one of the most amazing supremely innovative cars ever built, the Citroen SM. ever since i was a wee lad when my mum and dad owned one, and when my uncle claus use to drive over from denmark in his classic DS, i have been an avid fan of the french car, Citroen. my first car was of course a 2CV. anyway this is a clip with a bit of history on this incredible car, overshadowed throughout the years by cars such as ferrari and aston martin, porsche etc ... when i was very little my dad and mum had one, and even though they loved it, they did use to fight over who got to drive our other car which was a mini! basically because the SM was not really a very practical run around town kinda car. so often my dad would drive the mini to his studio in town, and my mum would drive my two older brothers and me to school in it! looking back now i think how cool my mum must have looked driving us to school in it! i don't think my mum realises how cool she was! enjoy ...alright this is my just under 5 minutes of fame. which means i still got 10 minutes or so of fame coming to me! (i have a secret desire to be a contestant on x-factor!) when i was 17 i got the chance to appear in one of my dad and uncle's video for the kinks, 'down all the days'. a song my uncle wrote about britain joining the EEC or something!? i was playing my uncle as a young lad looking back on his past? or something!? anyway, i thought my uncle was going to make me a big star! this isn't one of the best songs the kinks ever wrote, but it certainly was fun making the video! and it was a family affair as my younger brother russell (abakus) is in the video aswell as my older brother simon. and the girl i'm marrying is my cousin victoria! which is maybe why, the other me!?, looks so shocked and horrifed in that scene! enjoy ... so my dad is dave davies (founder and lead-guitarist) and my uncle is ray davies (singer/songwriter) of 'the kinks' and this is a documentary on their career ...when i was a kid i avidly collected model cars and would play for hours with my matchbox car collection. my particular favourite make of car which i have been an enthusiast of since i was a little kid when my uncle claus used to drive over from denmark in his classic 70's DS, is the french car Citroen. my first car was of course, a 2CV! when i was a kid i used to love movies with car chases! this has to be one of the greastest car chase scenes in a movie! 'for your eyes only'! whatta classic piece of roger moore james bond footage! i could never quite get my 2CV to go as fast as the one in this clip. they definitely super-charged it! this scene still gets my adrenaline pumping when i watch it! i also remember at age 9 or something being totally in love with that beautiful actress, carole bouquet, aswell as the 2CV! i love it when james takes over the wheel! enjoy ...this is another excellent car chase clip featuring the very excellent Citroen SM! i remember taping this movie 'the mean machine', starring burt reynolds, when i was a little kid and watching this scene over and over again! in fact i didn't like the movie at all, only the scenes with the SM!it was on a family holiday to florida when i was brainwashed by a re-occuring television commercial for 'the carpenters greatest hits collection'. i loved the sound of karen's voice and the simple melodies and production of the carpenters songs. i quickly became a closet carpenters fan! this is one of the more unusual songs the carpenters recorded back in 1977, but it's a personal favourite of mine. a very cheesy video but a very excellent song! my tribute to the late great karen carpenter ...i blame knots landing for me wanting to move to california! when i was a teenager i used to love this amercian soap. something about the suburban california living which fascinated me! i particularly liked the earlier episodes when the series was more humble. i was really sad when sid fairgate's breaks failed and he drove off the cliff! i wanted to own a car dealership just like him and live in a cul-de-sac in california! i remember my mum and i watching the show at night and then later on in my teens it was on in the afternoon and i would tape it and watch it when i got home from school. (note to avid knots landing american friends: the show aired in the UK at least 3 or 4 years after it came out in the states!) i prefered knots landing to dallas although i was an avid fan of that soap also, before bobbie ewing came back from the dead. after that the show lost all sence for me. i loved knots landings groovy theme tune and the different progressions of the theme through the years! i remember when i was about 13 holding my little sony tape player up to the TV to tape the theme tune! ahem. yes i was a slightly odd teenager! here's a retro clip of the intro to the pilot episode! enjoy ...well my dream of living in california came true as in 1993 i moved to Los Angeles! my dad happened to be very good friends with classic horror movie director 'john carpenter' (they live, halloween etc ... ) and as i had expressed great interest in working in the movies, john and his producer wife sandy gave me a job as a runner/production assistant on their made for television series, john carpenter presents ... 'body bags'! i can tell you that this was a most exciting year of my life! moving to hollywood and getting to work with a classic hollywood movie director! that year was immense fun and enjoyment as i got to assist the art department and was the runner for anyone who needed some help on the set. i got to visit many fun locations while shooting and got to meet some interesting actors and actresses!this is the second installment of a series of video clips during my time working on 'body bags'. i'll put up over the next few weeks. this is the end of the episode about a hair transplant which goes very wrong! this was the episode i got to meet debbie harry (blondie)and the classic hollywood b-movie director roger corman. and the episode which follows in this clip is where i got to meet the fabulous twiggy and a childhood hero, mark hamill, aka 'luke skywalker'! this is dedication and much love to john and sandy for making my dream of working in hollywood come true! ...when it comes to female singer/songwriters there is no question in my book that joni mitchell tops the list! when i was 16 while looking through my dad's dusty record collection in the attic, i discovered the album 'court and spark' and my love for joni's music began. her music appropriately became part of my soundtrack when i went to art college and when i made my way out to california, where i got to see her play live the year i arrived! here is some old footage of joni performing her classic hit, 'big yellow taxi' ...
..
another tribute to the late great karen carpenter who i consider one of the greatest female vocalists of our time and made number 29 in VH1's 100 greatest women list ...
..
one of my main passions in life now is dancing to trance music. progressive, psychedelic or ambient trance music. here is a very cool psychedelic trance visual piece by my friend charlie of www.elestial.tv - pump up the volume!
