About Me

Apart from DJing trance and a bit of production, I build stuff for the interweb. At the moment I'm in the process of putting together a compilation which should come out some time soonish. Here's some stuff about Apex (that's me, but in the third person):
Apex first became involved in the dance music scene when he attended his first rave in 1994. Two years later he finally managed to buy his first set of turntables. He started off playing drum and bass, quickly becoming a proficient scratch DJ. He became a resident at Depth Charge in Oxford where he played along big names in the drum and bass industry such as Kenny Ken, Brockie and Shy FX. He also had a weekly show on “Rude on the Net”.
After spending a while travelling and repeatedly finding himself drawn to psytrance parties he decided that was the music he really wanted to DJ. Since then he has energised dance floors at parties all over the world including Soulclipse in Turkey, the Island Gathering in Norway, Alien Safari, Vortex and Beartrap in South Africa, the solar eclipse festival in Tunisia, numerous full-moon parties and New Year’s Eve parties in Thailand, Burning Man in the USA, the Desertview Festival in Morocco, the Sun Explosion Festival in Italy, as well as parties in Brazil, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Argentina and Belgium. In the UK he regularly plays at squat parties, clubs and outdoor gatherings around the country. He has played alongside artists such as AMD, Star Sounds Orchestra, EVP, Jules Aphid Moon, Pan Papason, Brethren, Damage, Twisted System, Heggmatech, Trold, Triskell, Skazi, Pogo, Protoculture, Hyper Frequencies, Dick Trevor, Hydrophonic, Compressor, Deviant Species, Mekkanika, NRS, Scorb, Lucas, Wrecked Machines, Marcello VOR, Visual Paradox, Chris Organic, Digital Talk, Kristian, Ultravoice and many, many others. He is label DJ for Peak Records(CH), Northern Psylight Records (NO), part of the XVibe agency(BR) and resident DJ for Ganjatree(BE).
