I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I enjoy life to the max!! I have been a competitive swimmer, kicked booty in judo, performed in and have taught several forms of dance. You will even find me doing gogo dancing from time to time. All kinds of performance art interests me! Around town you will most likely find me at a dance club (goth, industrial, fetish, hip hop, techno, salsa, swing, tango, you name it, I'm there), street fairs, circus, side shows, renaissance faires, different cons (SD Comic Con, Condor, any cool sci-fi con), Viennese balls, movies, anime, hiking in the wilderness, skiing, doing yoga, reading a good book, sweating it out at a sweat lodge, doing Native American vision quests, and playing dnd (As Lady Electra Divine Champion Paladin of Sune commands...roll high on a d20 if you want to get to know me! If you are really a gaming nerd check out Dork Tower, or Full Frontal Nerdity. Jinx.com has a lot of cool gaming clothing.)I also love munching on any kind of ethnic food, or hanging out with friends. I am very outgoing, and I love meeting new people. I have always adored costuming (You have probably noticed my warrior ren-faire costume picture...one of my favorates!!). I love experiencing life, love, and happiness. Can't be the jealous or controlling type to hang out with me! I dance with and am chummy with a lot of guys and girls. I am a very free and open person, and I am very diligent about maintaining my happiness and freedom of spirit!! Love and hugs is what it is all about! So don't be surprised if I give you a big hug and a kiss :) XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOI am a research scientist by trade. I used to do a lot of cell biology, and biochemistry with cell surface to endosome trafficing (sounds like a shady endeavor, but in the cellular world it is business as usual). Recently I have been doing more cell biology, and biophysics with cytosolic stuctural proteins. Just got a couple of journal articles published this year!!! Always a great thing to add to my CV and also to give a copy to my dad. There is nothing better than a proud parent :) I love my job!! It keeps the logical puzzle solving part of me very happy. On top of research science, I am very interested in people...what makes them who they are, and how to help them to become even better. I am a Life Design and Results Coach. I assist people in achieving the most out of their life with tools from Neurolinguistic Programming, Coaching, and Hypnosis. I am also a vibrational healer with Reiki and Quantum Touch. Each day is better than the last...as it should be :)Spiritually, I take inspiration from Babaji, Lord Jesus, Budda, Kwan Yin, Siva Baba, and Grandmother Earth/Grandfather Sky. I don't necessarily adhere to one specific religion and all it's dogmas. Rather, I find many characteristics of different religions to be inspiring and uplifting. So for me, it is more about how to live a happy and loving life for myself, others, and the Earth. As a way of life, I practice many things in the Native American way. In healing work, buddist mantras and techniques are very powerful. I respect all forms of spirituality and lifestyles.

My Interests

No matter how young or how old you are...live life to the fullest!!!nataliedee.comOk...here's the list in no particular order: people, dancing, sexy men, sexy women, swimming, yoga, anime, movies, good comedy, DnD, costuming, holistic healing, reading, Native American ceremonies, Buddism, hiking, anything Halloween, skiing, and trying out new kinds of food...well more like trying out just about anything after all life is for living!! If you want to check out pictures of what I like to do I have tons of links to my photo albums in my blogs!

adopt your own virtual pet!Why a spider you may ask. Well growing up, I was pretty much allergic to all animals, so fish, and insects are pretty much my only options for pets. I used to have a spider phobia, but hypnosis easily took care of that. Herbert...isn't he just too cute??!! Press the "more" button and feed him...his health and fullness of belly depends on you my friend :)

adopt your own virtual pet!Ok, now Herbert has a friend. Always been a James Bond fan. So why not have a fish named Moneypenny! She's really a lush cuz she lives in martini water that is shaken, not stirred. I think the food off to the side there may need changing though. If you look at her long enough, she has way too much gas!

I'd like to meet:

Dancers, artists, dnd'ers, goths, vampires, avid movie goers, people who love life and aren't afraid to enjoy every moment of it, people who find serenity in nature, people who don't mind alone time in between all the fun, any holistic healers, men and women who are strong, confident, and independent minded. Anyone that understands that their own personal happiness is in the end their own responsibility. My friends understand that I have a very busy life both with my lab work and with all of my cool and interesting outside activities. I share my life with my friends and family as often as I can. I love anyone who likes dark humor. I love all the toons on illwillpress.com!! They have the guts to say what most people wouldn't dare to. Hilarious!Another Favorate Cartoon of mine!!

Music:

My first loves are Punk, Speed Metal, Gothic, Industrial music, and I can't forget Led Zep.Skinny Puppy Videos | Video Codes | St. Paul Homes Old and new...Skinny Puppy is still one of my favorites! I love how industrial music mixes so many genres. Rock on!!I have done dance performance in many different styles, so my love of music is also diverse. I have danced anything from classical ballet to many international traditional dances. The traditional country dances and music that I love the most are Russian, Polish, Greek, French, English, and German. In Vintage style dances I really get into the Lindy Hop/Balboa/Shag, and also the Viennese Waltz and Polka. Plus the costuming for all of them is just plain fun. In the more modern street styles, I love the spicyness and character of Salsa, Argentine Tango, and Tribal Bellydancing. Spanish Flamenco is hotter than hot. I love the way Flamenco dancers use their feet and bodies as musical instruments. Such spirit and zest for life!! Lately, I have been getting more into Hip Hop and Electronica. My favorate Electronica right now are Paul Okenfold, and Absynthesis (http://www.myspace.com/absynthesis). I think the dance moves are totally fun and the people are really grooving. I would love to learn more about it and where the best places to hang out are. Since I am also a vibrational healer, I enjoy the healing sounds of Tibetan gongs, and bowls.I especially appreciate the spiritual music of Bali...which when done live in concert is amazing beyond words. Right now I am enjoying the beautiful music of Scott Williams who plays the hammered dulcimer. He plays a really cool version of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. If you want to see him play live, he is at most Ren Faires.Check him out at http://www.myspace.com/scottdulcimer or at http://www.scottdulcimer.comI am open to all musical experiences. e-mail me if you know of something hot happening in San Diego!!

Movies:

I have been a Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror buff as long as I can remember. My favorates are Blade Runner, Star Wars, any vampire movie, Indiana Jones, The Matrix,Alien, The Lord of the Rings (Visually a stunning trilogy. Great story, superb actors, awesome directing job. For the eye candy...Aragorn, and Legolas are so hot! If it were one of those if you were on a desert island questions...I would be hard pressed to choose between the two!! Good rangers, good fighters, and hot hot hot.), and of course I can't leave out Clockwork Orange. Martial arts films rock. I dig all the color and artistry that they have been putting into the recent ones. Plus, who can resist a woman with a sword!!I love to watch independent films and international films. Anime is awesome...I love the diversity of sillyness to incredibly dark.I also love action/adventure. Angelina Jolie rocks in Tomb Raider!! A good comedy is good for the spirit. Anything Monty Python is awesome. Michael Ninn's stuff is really cool (if you are into this kind of movie).

Television:

Here are the channels that rock: Vh1, Sci-Fi, and Cartoon Network. BBC shows are awesome. Sex in the City is really funny. Golfing is the cure for insomnia. Invader Zim is my fav...though not on tv anymore...so sad!Babalon 5 was the coolest show. They really showed a lot about choices and consequences.

Books:

Anything Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, Horror, and anything cool about holistic healing. Dune is my favorate series. The Holographic Universe rocks. It will change the way you think about reality. Comics are fun. Michael Manning's artwork is stunning.I also love Guido Crepax. Frank Miller and Neil Gaiman are favs.

Heroes:

People who live life to the fullest, are honest about what they say and feel, unlimited in thinking, and not afraid to be controversial. I am not talking about the awesome men and women of history, or who we may hear about on TV or in the newspapers, but about the people that I meet and interact with today who effect me personally.
