‘This girl really got soul, something you rarely encounter, nowadays. Her voice is very soulful and with her personality she can conquer the world. ’Mark Thijs (a.k.a. Tee, from The Electric Kings),
‘One of the most exciting young singers in the blues today, Corrina Greyson combines an authoritative delivery with a a double shot of soul, reminding the listener of a young Aretha Franklin or Etta James. Amazingly, she's a white gal from England. If you can close your eyes (she has a hypnotic stage presence), you'd swear you were listening to a veteran blues singer who came out of the tradition of the black gospel church.’ Mick Martin Mick Martin’s Blues Party 88.9 FM KXJZ, Sacramento (California) 90.5 FM KKTO Tahoe City/Reno (Nevada) 90.3 KUOP - Stockton/Modesto (California)
I've been singing for as long as I can remember. Signed my first recording contract at 16 singing soul. I spent the next five years in studios working for indie labels and various producers performing everything from rock to dance to movie soundtracks. At 21 I really got into the live blues scene as lead singer of a 40's/50's Chicago styled outfit 'LowerDown' and spent the next few years playing all the UK's favourite blues clubs and festivals. In 2000 I put together a band with guitarist Matt Schofield to debut at the prestigious Cognac Blues Festival and went on to tour all around Europe and the States. Throughout I've had the privilege to work, play and guest with some great artists including Big Joe Louis, Junior Watson, Chaka Khan, Alex Schultz, Marc Tee, Ian Seigal and Jon Amor to name but a few.
Thought I'd set up a page and share a few old live recordings with you. Hope you enjoy.
Tearing it up with The New Mastersounds @ The London Jazz Cafe.
Played at the above festival with The New Mastersounds. Fantastic weekend.
