About Me

Retro funk band Mamafeelgood features the superb vocal talent of Kelly Dickson who in her raucous, funk delivery pays homage to the great Funk Divas - Lyn Collins, Gwen McCrae and Ann Sexton. Kelly is a petite blonde with a massive voice, best known on the funk scene for her collaboration with the funk band ‘The Players’, (an illustrious pedigree of musicians consisting of Steve White, Mick Talbot and Damon Minchella). She is a consummate performer with two New York jazz recordings to date.
Mamafeelgood have played numerous venues and festivals across Europe including The Blue Note Milan and Glastonbury and have built up quite a following. They have also held a year long stint as a resident band at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.
Mamafeelgood delivers a dynamic live show, mixing authentic funk material with originals songs and super-heavy grooves from some of the UK’s finest musicians.
