About Me

Mat is originally from Surrey in the UK, residing in Twickenham, London. First band ever was with Chris Eaton and Adam Wheatley called CBN. CBN lived on the highways between Leatherhead, Surrey and deepest darkest Burnley and other far regions between 1995 and 1999. Next came a call from Jon Amor to form the band AMOR. AMOR toured from 2000 - 2004 all over the UK and Europe with an adventure into Kazakhstan. 2 albums later with the odd video shoot and single AMOR went thier separate ways in December 2004. Inbetween AMOR commitments Mat hooked back up with Chris Eaton and Wayne Proctor (AMOR bandmate) and found a project called CARPET with the legendary Carpetmonster from Channel 4's Big Breakfast (anyone remember that!!). After AMOR comes AMY WADGE. Mat worked with Amy along with Aled Richards (Ex Catatonia) in the tail end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005, recording her second album "No Sudden Moves" along the way with producers The Erneez (TM). Mat recorded with the Nimmo Brothers, in September 2006, with Wayne Proctor on drums. This was followed up with a tour shortly after with Dave Raeburn on drums. "Picking up the pieces" was released in the spring of 2007 along with a successful full UK tour and there will be further dates in 2008. Mat can also be seen playing with The Robin Bibi Band in and around London, watch the gigs for the next shows!Check out:-www.myspace/thenimmobrothers, www.myspace/daveraeburn, www.myspace/wayneproctormusic, www.myspace/robinbibiband,Mat uses Fender Basses, Ashdown amplification and Elites strings.www.ashdownmusic.com www.basscentre.com
