TechTonk? HonkyHouse?

About Me

Electronic Country? Country Electro? TechTonk? HonkyHouse? Hillbilly Techno? Acid Blues? Western Trip Hop? Barn Jungle? Honky Hardcore? Ambient Waltz? Twang Trance? Steel Garage? The list goes on.--------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----Strong like Bull is singer/songwriter/producer Richard Delamar, from Alberta, Canada, currently living in Toronto. After years of producing house, techno, electro and experimental music, Richard, influenced by all forms of country, bluegrass and western swing, lost all the pretence and started writing songs about love, life, embracing responsibility, and growing up. And so.... Using the same synths, drum machines, samplers with analog effects and engineering (no computers!), he added a lap steel and acoustic guitar and made a mutant genre that seems to have a mind of it's own. And now, as one doggie said to the other little doggie; "Let's git along".----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------New projects include production for New York house-rock-hip-hop-country group Daisy Spurs: Instrumental version of "Let the Music Play" posted at myspace.com/daisyspurs. As well as a songwriting collaboration with award-winning Canadian fiddler Ashley MacIsaac for Mark Jacob's forthcoming debut album: "Long Journey Home", posted at myspace.com/markjacobb. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------New Strong Like Bull songs and *exciting* new developments soon!------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- SLB photos: Mark Turuk.
