About Me

Relatively tall, kinda dark and sort of handsome, I've been a musician since the age of 5 and a DJ since 18. Music has always been a guiding force. It enabled me to see the world as one through wide travel, gave me a miraculous way to communicate with people of many cultures and sample some excellent cuisine in many fine restaurants. My musical journey began with classical, late 60's/early70's rock, evolving into punk, funk, disco, old school hip hop and dub, electro, with digressions into world music, picadillos with lounge, flirtations with 30's/70's jazz, ministrations with New Wave, frequent trips into The Noise, unpaved/unpaid detours into Ambient/Experimental and final deliverance into elecrtonic cornucopia that brings all those languages into one proverbial House, the House that Jack made. Around the same time I started a band with two friends, called Deee-lite. We had a lot of fun, released eleven number one dance singles, four albums and toured around the world . Alas! the personalities were too strong and that journey came to an end. I grew up in the USSR, lived in the USA and finally unceremoniously dumped by Fate to Berlin, Germany, where I'm collaborating with local artists on several musical projects and going to all night parties whenever I can. One such project is a new album collaboration with one of my favorite all time singers and writers, Julee Cruise, entitled "My Secret Life", due out soon with a show to follow, another project is "The Leap", my electronic/dub/reggae collaboration with Haze, a third one is The Habitat , on the electronic/techhouse/dance front. You'll find them in your local record shop very soon.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
