I'm a paramedic by day, a family guy by night, and in between I like to play quality future house music while sipping my beverage of choice! Greetings. My name is Rikler and I have been behind the decks for nearly 10 years in and around the Chicago area. I've done everything from playing small house parties to moving the biggest dancefloors in various Chicago nightclubs. Many of my sets have also been heard nationwide during 'FUEL' on XM 80 - The Move. Since becoming a resident of FUEL 5 years ago, my style has evolved into what you hear today. Influenced by fellow FUEL residents Andre Solaris & Nosmo , my sets today consist of electo house, tech house, prog, minimal, & some breaks. Some other artists that have inspired me to play music include Trentemoller , Fine Taste , John Creamer , Stephane K , Saeed Younan , Danny Howells , Lee Burridge , James Zabiela , John Digweed , and Underworld . There is far too much other talent that deserves to be included in this list, and you may find many of them above in my blog titled 'Tracklistings'. If I've played their music, obviously I was inspired by it... Moving on, being part of FUEL has made me realize not only what it takes musically, but visually to create that excellent vibe you find at all our events. It's not just showing up with music and throwing a wicked set. What most guests don't know is that every little detail you find at a FUEL party is unique and planned out about a month in advance. Then, that planning usually equates to about 6 - 10 hours (or more!) of work WE do constructing the setup before the first track is even chuggin' through FUEL's trademark Ultra Heavy Sound System. Every light, every speaker, every projector & screen is positioned in such a way to give YOU the ultimate clubbing atmosphere. Our idea is to transform the club in such a way to make it a unique experience for even the regulars that show up week after week. Finally, I can never thank enough the people closest to me for their support and allowing me to make certain sacrifices to achieve the many things I have in life. I would also like to thank all of the open-minded individuals who come out and support our efforts and music. Without any of you, we would have no drive.
