Although my alias is LegendaRee pronounced “legendary†meaning unforgettable, the real name is Sherecka which is Arabic for “Friend or Partner†given to me on 8-23-1977. Like my name implies, friendship is very important to me. I have a heart to help others grow both personally & professionally as you may be able to tell from my blogs/bulletins. When you request my friendship you are ultimately positioning yourself in my life as essentially one of three roles: Mentor, Collaborator, or Protege. I call it The LegendaRee Circle.It is my sincere belief, that you should be surrounded by these three types of people. Mentors teach you. Collaborators share with you. Protégés learn from you. Each launch you forward in the pursuit & fulfillment of your passion and your purpose. Be mindful of those you connect yourself with because either they will help promote you or demote you. Check your Circle often!..
In my 29 years on this Earth, I have been privileged to learn valuable life lessons that I share often. No doubt, you will experience trials & tribulations, but the real question is when you do will you choose to become bitter or better? By all means, I encourage you to choose BETTER! My motto is to “Live Life Like a Legend†which is living your best life because you’ve made better choices. Think about it, right now you are experiencing the sum total of all of your choices. If you don’t consider it legendary, then choose to.One of the most frequently asked questions posed to me is “what do you do?†As the oldest of six siblings, I have been an educator my whole life. I have taught little children all the way up to adults in a classroom environment. It was a personal decision to leave the classroom of 4 walls and enter the “classroom†of the world as an entrepreneur. Although, God has blessed me with a number of gifts, my focus right now is on marketing/promotion as an independent consultant. The current projects that I’m working on are absolutely amazing!Another question I get often is “what’s makes you LegendaRee?†Well, as my Grandma always says. “I can show you better than I can tell you.†You will never see me spending a lot of time trying to convince anyone of anything especially when it comes to myself. Either you believe or you don’t. My advice is: Just keep watching.
Many people have come into my life at different points and times, different ages and stages. Those who love me and those who hate me. Both are necessary to grow. Quite necessary. Just as a diamond begins as just a piece of black, dirty coal, it does not become valuable until the process of intense pressure and extreme heat takes place. Character is built through adversity. In other words, how can you be a champion if there is never a challenger to validate your declaration?With others, I try to be very honest and direct. Sometimes people are hurt or offended by my criticism. However, I am ever generous with applause and accolades when people are excelling in their chosen demonstration. I believe in giving my bouquet of flowers when the person can smell them! In other words, I try to be as encouraging & positive as one can be- whether you are my best friend or a future friend.I’m a Thinker. Point blank. Like my favorite song, My Cherie Amour by Mr. Stevie Wonderful, suggests that I sometimes seem like I'm on a distant cloud. Actually, I am just in deep thought about the latest issue, quandary, riddle, and the like. Misunderstood by many, however, fellow Thinkers understand my complexities & idiosyncrasies plus my quest for more knowledge and for that I admire them as well. For the most part, I spend most of my time thinking of different things, planning how it will be done, and then executing the plan! That’s me in “business modeâ€. Can be very scary if you don’t know me well.As far as my appearance, I am who I am. My brand of beauty is all my own just as the next woman’s brand is hers alone. Therefore, I do not compare myself to others. My style is classic. I try to stay away from the trendy and pursue the timeless like soft cottons, cashmere, & silk. Simple elegance would accurately describe my taste.I’m the epitome of a night owl. One of my sayings is “Legends don’t sleep…they just close their eyes to visualize, strategize their next series of moves!†The Internet is my digital home library which is essential to my late night research. In fact, if someone wants to know something, oftentimes they ask me and I’ll find it. Or try to figure out the reasons I couldn’t. This is me and for that I will never apologize. I am LegendaRee.
