Carlos Sanchez has been a staple in the Las Vegas nightclub scene since moving there in 1999 from New Orleans. He began his career as a dj in New Orleans in 1997 after spending a couple of years in the rave scene attending Frebass Society parties. Its was a love of the scene and more importantly his love of music that prompted him to begin buying records and learning to dj. He got his first residency in 1998 at the infamous Audubon Hotel for weekly party called "Faster Pussycat" and later changed to "Revolver" with Marcel Tempest and Brian Smith. The success of the night created two other residencies for Carlos, Fly FM a weekly Internet radio show that hosted the top dj's in New Orleans and a monthly spot at hustler hosted by Dave Jinx and Rewind. Carlos was also a guest at several raves and clubs throughout the city including a spot at the Moonshine Over America Tour in New Orleans.Carlos is now based in Las Vegas and has been a resident at Drai's, Club Sponge, Club 1030, Seville, Tabu, Curve, Risque and is currently a resident at Tangerine, Soundbar, & Empire Ballroom.
Carlos has also been a guest DJ at numerous clubs around town as well as clubs in New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Albuquerque, and San Francisco. Unlike most in Las Vegas he has set himself apart from the commercial or jukebox oriented dj's by continuing to bring his brand of deep house to Las Vegas. His style of music is directly influenced by his hometown of New Orleans and a love of music bringing together a blend of jazz, funk, latin and soul infused house music, that he calls "music for grown -ups".In the past couple of years has started spending more time developing his studio skills and learning how to produce and remix. His first track "Home Cookin" was a collaboration with Freddy Montanez and was picked up by local label Fremont Records and remixed by Smitty & Davenport as well label owners the Shuffle Heads. As a promoter Carlos along with partners Keith Evan and Brian Minogue developed House Society a dj collective and a Sounbar a deep house weekly now a monthly party that incorporated live musicians and vocalist creating a home for house heads in Las Vegas and being ranked 18th in the Hot 24 in Las Vegas. Sound bar played host to dj's Mark Farina, Jaime Thinnes, Marques Wyatt, Garth, Diz, Jeno, Juan Nunez, John Lemon, Johnny Fiasco, and Miguel Migs, to name a few.
