365MAG ON AIR MIX OF THE YEAR: MILI SEFIC
FULL ARTICLE
Last month we offered 365Mag On Air listeners the chance to vote for who should scoop the coveted 365Mag On Air Mix of the Year 2006. From a huge choice of top international DJs and up and coming spinners, we have a winner - Chicago's Mili Sefic.
The cream of the world's DJs as well as up and comers in the scene have had the pleasure of stepping up to the decks, CDJs and laptops to turn in powerful and inspirational mixes for you, the discerning music lover. Guests DJs in 2006 included Sander Kleinenberg, Desyn Masiello, Nic Fanciulli, Sharam Jey, Pete Heller, Chris Fortier, Tom Stephan, Gabriel & Dresden, Filterheadz, Danny Bonnici, Frederik, 365LIVE!, J-Punch, Mili Sefic and Vortex.
Mili came out on top with a plethora of votes, and its richly deserved; his mix was strong and deep, but also containing subtle shifts into other genres and displaying a high level of technical ability. His 60 minute set was a clear indication of why this young Bosnian has recently performed alongside the likes of Danny Howells in his adopted city of Chicago, USA.
Show host Paul Sparkes: "I'm delighted for Mili; he obviously has a lot of fans out there, he was up against some top names. His mix was high quality and I wish him all the best in his future DJ career. Well done Mili".
365Mag On Air looks specifically for mixes that include much original material and cutting edge sounds. The sets go out monthly on Proton and are syndicated to various other stations worldwide, and the entire 2006 catalogue is available via Groovecollection.nl.
