About Me
Amir began DJing in his home town of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1998. His initial influences were Underworld, Leftfield, Orbital and Kraftwerk, but he has since developed his own style, with a preference for deep house. Prior to moving to London, Amir played in many bars and clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and often presented his own sets on a local radio station, Plavi Radio. Since moving to London, Amir has played at many clubs and parties, including Babushka, Bed Bar, Rinky Dink, Mestizo, Meet Bar, The Gate, Mau Mau, Matt & Matt, Mother Black Cap and the Notting Hill Carnival.Last summer Amir headlined at the famous Buba Beach Bar in Makarska, Croatia. Amir has played at many clubs in Bosnia, including The Bar and Barhana in Sarajevo, the Akt Club, Ali Baba, Mala Ljubavna Parada, Cocco Locco, Bijeli Bar, Next, Alf, Sky Roof Biosphere and the Oxygen Club in Mostar, and Travnik's Alter Art Club. Amir recently headlined at Belgrade's Anderground and Happy People clubs with Dusan Kacarevic and Nazzif from InConnection DJs. In addition to his extensive work in the Balkans, Amir has recently played a number of London clubs, including The Egg, Colosseum Club, Island Club and Beduin Bar.Amir is a regular headliner in Bosnia, but has also played with other DJs, including Mili Sefic (Fuel, Chicago), Inconnection DJs, Dr Marrese (Passion FM), and Trevor C (Push FM). On several occasions his mixes have been played on HOUSE FM, and recently was a special guest DJ on Dr Marrese’s show on Passion FM, one of London’s most popular radio stations. Amir currently hosts his own radio show, Monday Deep Session, from 8-10pm GMT on one of London’s most sought after stations, PushFM, where he plays alongside Mike Monday, Miss Moneypenny, Paul "Trouble" Anderson, Robert Owens, Mr Normski, Danny Rampling, DJ Chus, Pete Heller and DJ Disciple.Amir has recently joined the Bosnian record label, InConnection DJs (DJs Nazzif and Higher Representative). Recently he has collaborated with Haris (Laus Records) and produced his first tune, 'Dvore Gradi', which is based old Bosnian song about his great-grandfather, a very famous mayor of his home town Mostar.Amir hosts 'Monday Deep Session' on PushFM, where he regularly features guest mixes from other DJs and producers. He has recently played mixes by Sergio Flores, Danny Marquez,Forteba ( Plasti City),Mastic Soul,Budai and Vic,Da Funk( Acryl Music), Babak Shayan, Terry Lee Brown Junior, Solomun ,Zoran Pernjakovic, Dusan Kacarevic, DJ Nazzif( InConnection DJs), Goran Kinkela, DJ Fakir( Noise Distruction ), Mili Sefic and many more.Amir hosts 'Monday Deep Session' every Monday from 8-10pm GMT on www.pushfm.com.
