About Me
Goran Kinkela was born on 21st of October 1979 in Rijeka, and has been living his whole life on the island of Krk. It were the early 90s when he showed his first interest for electronic music, at first throught the work of Depeche Mode, Yello, The Prodigy, Kraftwerk, Yazoo, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre etc. but soon after he discovered the underground scene.
In the year 2001 he bought his first pair of turntables and started spinning as a DJ.
So far he played in clubs like Stereo Dvorana (Rijeka), Discotheque “Crossroad†(Malinska), Discotheque “Magnus†(Senj), Club “White Horse†(Uvala Scott), Discotheque “Jungle†(Krk), but also on open air events like Fiesta Splendidissima 2006 (beach Plav, Krk), Festival for advanced ears 2007 (Krk waterfront) & Rabac Summer Festival 2007 - Meeting Point (Rabac, Istria).
International appearances include among others a gig in London's club The Gate on Notting Hill. That same weekend he got the chance for the first time to spin live on Push FM, radio station which already played some of his mixtapes before.
Goran's style varies between different aspects of house music (deep, jazzy, tribal, funky, progressive), but lately he's putting stronger accent on the progressive side of the story.
Since he was first infected with the synth-pop from 80's & 90's,
you can also hear a lot of sounds based on electronic music from that period in his sets.
