Jeremiah Samuel currently plays for J’Nay, Indigo Brown, Jlovemusic, AOS, Mystroe, Sadie Ama, Siani, 4kornerz, Insignia, Joy Knight, Ife, Angelina, etc and has worked with Angie, Tony Koffi, Tomorrow's Warriors, Femi Temowo, Michael Olatuja, Eska, James Brown Tribute Funk Band, Flowstate, Andre Saxman Brown, Geo, Issues and many more........ Born to Sam and Alice in London 1979, at the age of 5, Jeremiah moved to Lagos with his parents, where he spent 12 solid years receiving heavy doses of solid african/western music. He joined the choir as a tenor singer and sang for a while. He grew up understanding african rhythm and became an expert with the hand drum, tenor drum, agogo bells, sekere, clefs, and kongas. At this point he became rooted with the ideas of harmony and rhythm; little did he know he was going to become a bass player. By the time he was 16, fellow musicians noticed he was always humming bass lines, I mean, he would just compose them in his head and sing them out PASSIONATELY, not knowing to world he was an in-built bass player. On a quiet evening in late 1996 in Festac-Town Lagos, Jeremiah Samuel was on his way to pick his sisters from choir practice. Once He got there he began to sing a modified bass line of the song that was being performed. He told me he would never forget that day, a family of talented musicians discovered him and advised him to start learning bass immediately because his musical abilities were unsual. Till this very moment Jeremiah Samuel plays the BASS. Jeremiah Samuel returned to London in Mid-1997. He currently does live and studio sessions. He recently picked up the double bass, you will be seeing him soon with the BIG THING. You can see him at WT@The Interchange Studio, Belsize Park, Hampstead Town Hall, 213 Haverstock Hill, London, NW3 EVERY SUNDAY. 11AM-1PM.
