RETAIL PROMOTION: : Create posters displays in local record shops around album releases. Distribute flyers, stickers and other free band swag.
COLLEGE MARKETING: : Poster and flyer college campuses to promote upcoming tours and releases. Hold album listening parties and DVD screenings. Contact campus media (tv/radio/magazines/newspapers) to provide news, tour dates and music to review.
TOUR MARKETING: : Prior to the concert, make poster displays around your market, perform lifestyle accounts and hit up retail stores. An hour before doors the day of the show, place posters around the venue. During the concert, take note of the audience: What is the crowds reaction to the band? Which songs are the audience reacting most to? How many people are at the concert? Are fans rocking cool tshirts/clothing/gadgets? What is the median age of the crowd? What is the guy/girl ratio of the audience? After the show, pass out samplers, flyers and other promotional materials as people leave the venue.
LIFESTYLE ACCOUNTS: : Visit skate/surf/snowboard shops, head shops, tattoo/piercing parlors, hip clothing stores, trendy coffee houses, alternative/comic book stores, clothing boutiques and other fun places people hang out and hang up posters, distribute promotional materials and encourage in-store play of the album.
ONLINE MARKETING: : Management and design of MySpace, Purevolume and other social networking websites. Visit online communities and post news, tour dates and other information on message boards, in chat rooms and other online social networking websites (myspace / facebook / friendster / purevolume / youtube / webshots / etc).
RADIO PROMOTION: : Call and e-mail radio stations that are playing an artist to request their current single.
STREET TEAM/REP PROGRAM: : Organize your active fanbase to perform online/offline marketing strategies. Install national/regional promotional campaigns, catered to you. Teamers/Reps will be involved with message board posts, e-mails to friends and radio stations, writing album reviews, putting posters around cities, selling cd's and other grassroots marketing.
MERCHANDISE MANAGEMENT: : Act as regional assistant tour manager. Manage merchandise booth at venue shows, allocate street teamer members to distribute swag and assist with obtaining names for mailing list.
PRESS/MEDIA RELATIONS: : Compose electronic or print based press kits, online website promotion via flyers, buddy icons, and links, interview opportunities and album reviews for college market media; tv, radio, print and more
