All Progress Depends On The Unreasonable Man.

About Me

Creative dude in the marketplace of ideas. I received my degree in Political Science and minored in Music at the University of Western Ontario. I took additional courses in business and marketing upon graduating at York University. Always the adventurer, I've done a lot of globe trotting and am currently back and forth from Toronto to Los Angeles. My career has been as eclectic as my musical tastes and yet it all seems to make perfect sense. Upon graduating University, I decided to pursue the Financial sector got hired by BMO and rose rapidly to become Business Development Manager for MasterCards Toronto multi million dollar portfolio. I was moving up the ladder, making great money but was not content. I decided to take a leap of faith and go full time into music despite the static from others. I had studied and played music my whole life even done professional recording with reputable Canadian artists but it was on the side that's when opportunity knocked. In 2003, I got a call and the chance to tour Lollapalooza with Janes Addiction and Audio Slave. The 28 city North American tour proved to be life changing. I ended up relocating to Los Angeles and getting to play, compose, produce music, making lifelong friendships with incredible talents some of legendary proportions. Now I am back in T.O after many years recording, and composing for jingles film and television for hit shows such as CSI and Marvel. I created the company Trip Sessions with the hope of providing young minds with tangible knowledge, inspiration and over preparedness in pursuing a career in the music business. My team is comprised of some of Canada's elite, Juno nominated artists, producers and engineers.Trip Sessions provides Private Coaching, and Instrumental & Recording Workshops for the Toronto School Boards and Private School Boards. It lets students interact and learn directly from industry leaders and gifted musicians. Students also can attend workshops on crucial topics such as finance, marketing and the business of music with various guest speakers. Proudly our workshops have meant students ending up ahead of the game, in fact many have been signed to major labels or are working within New Media prior to completing University. I serve as the Director of Programming for Trip Sessions and when not busy overseeing the workshops I am composing or singing.I myself am a seasoned drummer-percussionist but those piano lessons Mom forced me into allowed me to sing and play rhythm guitar, and harmonica. Naturally, with all my travels I started putting pencil to paper writing songs initially for other artists finding my own voice in the process. I will be releasing a solo full length album on Itunes hopefully sometime in 09 so stay tuned Friends!
