You may have heard of us before – as a top-notch music venue in the centre of Bath, we attracted a significant word-of-mouth reputation. Now the Invention team is broadening its horizons and opening its doors to the creative community as a whole; reinventing the arts centre concept for the 21st century as a hub for ideas, inspiration, and adventure.
As a media production centre, our principle aim is to act as a support structure for the creative arts industry in the general Bath area through the provision of education and community-building events. Through us, artists and practitioners from all walks of life can develop and present innovative projects, and push their creative limits as part of a constantly expanding artistic network.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, and any money we make is funneled back into improving our ability to support the creative community. We are actively engaged in producing and leading workshops for artists, creatives, musicians, and other talented people. We specialize in showcasing events in performance, music, and the visual arts to other industry professionals as well as the public at large – from digital and traditional visual media, through educational and alternative seminars, to film nights and absorbing and thought-provoking talks.
By providing an intimate and fully equipped venue, industry expertise, and a full complement of media production equipment, we can help you reach your full imaginative potential.
