About Me

Arguably the finest original guitarist to come out of the highly competitive Vancouver music scene. Formed many of Vancouver’s most legendary original bands; including the much-revered 1980’s phenomenon ‘The Scramblers’, along with ‘The Modernettes’, ‘The Lowriders’, ‘The Rabid’, and many others. Dubbed by Bruce Allen as 'Canada's answer to Keith Richards' (if he only knew!), Jon was a figurehead of the embryonic late 70’s, and later highly influential late 80’s Vancouver alternative music scene. Jon has worked with many musical luminaries over the years including; Bob Rock (producer of Metallica, Bon Jovi, The Cult etc), John Cale (Velvet Underground), Mick Ronson (David Bowie), Kurt Cobain, Paul Hyde (The Payola$), Blue Oyster Cult, and Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) to name just a few, as well as playing on numerous studio sessions with major recording artists, both in Vancouver, across Canada, the US, and Europe.Blah, blah, blah....heh.
