Hello. And welcome to the Twisted Upside Down World of The Beta Brothers.
Hailing from an almost obsolete analogue universe, we have entered ourselves into a pact with purveyors of music production to translate their notes and rhythms into a linear visual sense. And without all the bullshit, we make music videos
Meeting during the editing of award winning UK feature ‘The Plague’(2004), The Beta Brothers had an introduction to rapper Skinnyman, culminating with Skinny asking the Brothers to make a companion video to his title track off his album ‘Council Estate of Mind’, we then quickly (and gratefully) made in roads into promo direction with video’s for UK rappers COV "For My City", Jehst "Nuke Proof Suit", Micall Parknsun "Dun Ya (My World), Braintax "Syriana Style", Dezert Eagle "Still On Road" all of which gained a massive following from fans. This success meant we were then commissioned by Poet Benjamin Zephaniah to make a series of video’s for tracks from his new album “Naked, which culminated in us putting together a dvd for Benjamin available NOW. Our last video was a venture into animation for the electronica band Dibidim, a welcomed change to form, followed by an eight month hiatus to complete the editing and sound design for the feature film ‘Kapital’(2007)
2007 was a new beginning for the Brothers, established at our post-production studio ‘Graymalkin’ in North London, we spent a year developing that unique Beta touch working with great artists such as Jehst, Theoretical Girl, Blind Alphabetz and Saturday Night In Frankfurt.
For 2008 we are planning a semi-retirement or maybe just another hiatus. The Beta Brothers will always be around in one form or the other so this isn't the end. Just a long holiday. We won't be doing any new music videos for a while (Unless someone has got some serious cash) but keep checking our youtube account for random nuggets of fun.
