About Me

Wow, doing this my-space thing (again) is scary... I've been LOVING and playing music since I was a kid... (4 years classical piano lessons in grade school) and I bought my first guitar 30+ years ago in 1976, but self-taught with the help of my friend, Bru. I was surrounded by music growing up, good friends of the family played acoustic guitars and sang every Thanksgiving at our country house [The Funny Farm] in upstate New York, and at other parties. My Mom played the piano, my brother learned the banjo, mandolin and fiddle. My sister the guitar. You get the idea. In high school, we played some coffee houses, as well as in the stairwells at the Team School. Wow, what acoustics in the stairwells. Oh, and of course the country club gig and battle of the bands with "Dark Star", (now known as The Fabulous Flemtones) when I was a mere puppy of 14 or 15 years old...(There is photo evidence herein... lol) I was in several bands throughout the 80's and 90's, including "Full Moon" [guitar, keyboards and vocals] , "The Eclipse Duo" [guitar, keyboards and vocals], "Daily Dose" [lead singer], "Tangled Web" [guitar, keyboards and vocals], and that a capella group. Did we ever pick a name??? We had a different name every time we performed. AND OF COURSE MINGLE. Please check us out at Minglemusic on my space... Of course, we're our own Friend! Well, that's my musical side. By day I do have a real job ... Nothing glamorous, but paying the bills. I raised a beautiful daughter, Sara, who is now an adult herself. She lived in Tampa for the past 7 years, and now is trying out Vegas, where she is a poker dealer on the strip... Be Careful Sara! I have family spread across the United States as close as my mom in Tennessee and as far away as my sister and nephew in Alaska... Wish they lived closer, but I guess that's life. My musician friends are my "local family". Music keeps me grounded. Music tames my sanity..... Background By Profile Mods
