About Me

ABOUT OUR FRIENDS AND FANS: We take every friend and fan very seriously. We make it a point to thank every add personaly because everyone who checks us out deserves it. We don't generate typical band spam or any of these other myspace scams. Due to the great support from all of you, the job has been almost overwhelming, so Sean and Vic have been doing their best to greet everyone. Please don't feel left out if we miss you. Make a comment and then we'll def. recognize you! Thank you all for your love and please continue to support your local musicians!!......J.CARPENTER MUSICAL INTERESTS: Well, what we write about has alot to do with current situations for young adults and what it's like to deal with modern times. Growing up in a post 9/11 era has put a lot of resrictions on our freedoms, opportunities, lifestyles, and general futuristic outlooks. A lot of what we go through with seems to deal with hard luck, broken promises, isolation, frustration, etc. However, a lot of what we write about also deals with hope, salvation, coping, forgiveness, strength, etc. Hey, you gotta try to stay a little positive. What we write has to do with what's going on in our lives and its very personal and important to us. I know this may all sound cliche, but it's the truth. Please check out Jordan's page and his blog list for more thoughts on JC and some of the messages behind and within our music. You can find him in our top friends. I hope you understand our message......THE STORY BEHIND JC - J. Carpenter arose out of a collaboration by Vic Svorinich and Jordan Brewster in the summer of 2004. Although playing together for years, jamming as well as in bands, it wasn't until the summer of 2004 did Vic and Jordan forge ahead with a set of original songs. What started out as a recording experiment blossomed into a powerhouse band fueled by the classic metal pantheon and soul music. With the addition of Sean Harrison, the band has branched out seeking new horizons. With the completion of Strap-lock, their first album, J. Carpenter is poised to unleash it's new brand of hard edged riffs and melodic vocal lines. Currently we are trying to re-record some of the material as well as our second effort, "Killjoy" on a semi-professional level. Please keep checking back for updates. I will also send bulletins of whatever events come about......ADDITIONAL PROJECTS - Check out Chris's other band OCD and Brian's Wholeshot, located in our "top friends" section. GOOD stuff..........STRAP-LOCK CD'S AVAILABLE. Completely self produced and manufactured, we are selling them for only $3!!! NO Pro Tools. All analog. Supplies for this first run are VERY limited. Full length album with all artwork, lyrics, etc. Contact us if you're interested......ABOUT THE ARTIST: The cover art work ("J.Carpenter-Strap-Lock" charcoal, 2006) was done by Ilona Kennedy, a visual artist from West Orange, NJ. Much gratitude and thanks for her amazing work and vision for capturing the essence of this project......
