Marco Micheli,
graduated in double bass at the Lucca conservatoire.
In 1982 played in the Ginger Baker's band, touring Europe.
After that, he collaborated with the RAI Orchestra of Italian Television and with many italian and foreigner Jazz musicians: Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Enrico Pieranunzi, Kenny Wheeler, Franco D'andrea, Mitchel Forman, Tony Scott, Bobo Stenson, Gianluigi Trovesi, Phil Woods, Bill Elgart, Marilyn Mazur, Miroslav Vitous, Norma Winstone, George Garzone, Daniel Humair, Jimmy Owens, Franco Ambrosetti, Enrico Rava, John Taylor, Cedar Walton, Lew Tabackin, Dave Liebman, Chucho Valdés, Area, etc..
He played at various Jazz festivals in Paris, Jerusalem, Montreal, Berlin, Toronto, Le Maan, Perugia, Vancouver, Zurich, Madrid, Amsterdam, Havana, etc.
He played also outside the jazz field, for example with Luciano Pavarotti.
Since 2006 he teaches Jazz at the Bologna Conservatorie.
