Just had the album reviewed in Acoustic Magazine June 2008!!!
"Stuart Anthony’s independently and self produced album The Colourful Truth takes the listener on a journey through plaintive acoustic psychedelia. The album’s production rarely progresses beyond the sound of six and twelve string acoustic guitars, vibes, vocals, which add to the albums charm and sensitivity. The albums sonic and stylistic references stretch from Pink Floyd, to The Verve and Jeff Buckley. However, this type of comparison is unfettered, as Stuart’s unique voice and songs hold their own. Despite a few tell-tale sign of a home spun production, Stuart Anthony has produced some great results in The Colourful Truth and I’m already looking forward to the next album."
Mark Tucker-Editor of Acoustic Magazine

Stuart's debut album "The Colourful Truth" is a tour de force of orignal songwriting, emotional vocal delivery and beautiful guitars.
Here are some notable quotes about the album
"Really fine album. Heart-touching songs, sensitively sung; emotional lyrics, presented melodically, without bombast; an overall feeling that reminds me of some of Nick Drake's moods, or early Neil Young....It's a pleasure"
Lee Underwood, lead guitarist with Tim Buckley
"Congratulations. It sounds good – both modern and timeless which is a good combination."
Trevor Dann-former Head of BBC Radio One, BBC Music Entertainment, Producer of The Old Grey Whistle Test, Live Aid and biographer of Nick Drake.
"I really love your music & and it’s worthy of being promoted and being heard." Mark Tucker - Editor of Acoustic Magazine
"Beautiful and haunting songs...."
Robin Frederick who sang and played with Nick Drake in 1967.
He is a regular at the Nick Drake Tribute Gathering concert in Tanworth In Arden and contributed to the recent biography of Nick Drake "Darker Than The Deepest Sea" by Trevor Dann. He is also headlined at the Tim Buckley London Tribute Concert at the Cockpit Theatre on May 10th 2008. Sanctioned by the Tim Buckley Estate, it was a fantastic successful night and great celebration of Tim's music. Live dates have been coming in a fast moving stream so far and he can't get enough of playing live. He also occasionally doubles as a DJ for Lancaster and Morecambe's community radio station Diversity FM running an alternative music show called "Northern Sky". Click the link to find out more. Feel free to get in touch for gigs and enquiries. So you can get a visual idea of him at work here's some videos of Stuart singing his own songs and some covers:
