Trainspotting, Army of Darkness. All Kevin Smith movies, as well as those damn Brat Pack movies! Random Horror, sci-fi, and comedies also fit. Ok, so I neglected to mention cartoons. I am a sucker for cartoons. Too many to add.
Television:
One word: LOST!! Another word: Dexter! 2 more words: Monk and Pysch! I like those CSI's and Law and Orders. That 70's show is cool too (thanks Tom). I don't really watch much else, since everything I seem to like gets cancelled, Angel and Farscape, Dead Like Me, Carnivale, and Joan of Arcadia.
Books:
If it is written by Neil Gaiman, or Anne Rice, I own it! I also enjoy Poppy Z Brite, Nancy A Collins, Robert R. McCammon, Edgar Allan Poe, H.P Lovecraft,William Shakespeare and China Mielville. I love Horror and sci-fi books. I can also be found reading non-fiction or even philosophy. I do enjoy a lot of the "classics". Call me an English major, it's what college did to me! If I see something in a store that "speaks" to me, I'll buy it and check it out. If you have any ideas of authors you think I would like, reccommend them to me. I'm always down for something new.
Heroes:
Neil Gaiman, because he is an amazing author. He has talent coming out of his ears!!!! He has made me think like no one else has. His novels, comics, spoken words, dvds, have inspired me beyong belief. Maynard James Keenan of Tool and A Perfect Circle, respectively. Why? Have you heard his music? The man states so many wordly issues. He inspires me and makes me want to have sex, but that is another mood all together. Mike Carey, the genius behind Lucifer. What the man knows about religions alone, amazes me! Anne Rice... just because she is an amazing author and I love her books and have a weak spot for vampires ;) All the teachers that made me what I am today. I have taken the good you have taught me and hope to bring it in to my own classroom.
