Band Members:---------Artists on the recording, "Ostara: Live at the Playhouse" include: ------------------RENATE SPARKLE TOES is a multi-cultural singer, sitarist, dancer, poet, percussionist, didgeridoo, and fire spinner. Renate studied sitar in a Kali Durga temple in Varanasi, India. She studied voice through classical opera in New York. She has been dancing since she was able to walk. Renate is a vibrational healer as music is her form of worship to the Universe. Renate teaches Sound, Voice, and the ability to Heal as well as Bellydancing through Moving Medtiation. ------------------DHANNI 'LIGHTNING' BOLDT embarked on the drum under the late conga master Malik del Mar. Two years later he switched skin and studied tabla with rhythm wizard, Marcus Wise. Dhanni also plays a wide variet of percussion and is often referred to as the one stand band. Mr. Lightning is a writer and spoken word poet in English as well as tabla bols. Music is the bridge between the conscious and the unconscious. Dhanni teaches Vibrational Healing with the drum and the heartbeat. ------------------LAZR influenced by the Native Australian and continental cultures, He's appreciated the gift of yedaki and Tuvan throat singing. Lazr has studied under Stephen Kent and has opened for Huun Huur Fu, accompanied Merl Saunders, the Big Wu, Picasso's thinking and Overtone Orchestra. Lazr teaches workshops about Yedaki and Tuvan throat singing. ------------------Hannah Thiem Miss Hannah plays the violin, Riq, and is an incredibible dancer. Magical Hannah has played with Felonious Bash, Mystic Melange, Incus, and is now involved in her own project in Boston. Guest performers include: Mysterious Marshall Artz on guitar, piano, bazukki, uke, vocals influenced by stuff as well but not telling who! Hence the mystery, the beautifully talented Michelle Dunkirk on violin, harmonium, and back up vocals; on bass, keyboard, guitar, and back up vocals, Matty Dread on didjjeridoo, talking drum, bass, jews harp, and firespinning; Justice on didjjeridoo and fire spinning; Hank Zatheros on tamboura, didjjeridoo, harmonium, hurdy gurdy, doumbek, tar, and vocals; Miss Penny Goody on vocals, zils, belly dance, and assorted magical gifts.
