Lived in Edinurgh 1996-1998, then back to Sydney. Now back on the Mid North Coast of NSW.Photos: Jimmy Vargas 2003PERFORMANCE: I've been performing professionally, on and off, since playing rhythm guitar & lead vocals in a professional cover band at 16 y.o. Over the years, my favourite show was "Beehive or Else" - a long-running 60's club show - fronted by 3 gals - fully costumed & choreographed Lollipop, Gospel & Rock. But now I have become VERONICA VAINGLORIA - the slinky, sleazy Burlesque Club Diva - a sophisticate sex bomb, aka "The Vamp with the Double Vs". See her personal profile for some more background... But her outstanding nights have included being Opening Act for "Madam Lash's New Years Eve Ball" at The Kirk in 2003. Opening for "Veronica's Salon" at The Marquee in 2005 (which I also produced and promoted).
INDUSTRY: I've been staging various Club nights since 1999. I've staged many a Burlesque night, such as Swayed at The Cave in 2000, Circus Circus in 2001. I've even ventured to promote Salsa nights and other assorted eccentricities. I was employed as the Entertainment Manager for Planet X Summer Games at Stadium Australia & the Superdome in 2001. And the same year, I orchestrated the opening of a key Burlesque/Rock Venue in Sydney: "Moulin Rouge Down Under" in 2003. I co-produced, narrated, and performed at the Filmink magazine Inaugural Awards in 2004. I've also managed many artists along the way, under my own independent partnership (as Heads Up Promotions) with the now defunct Mo'Funk Records. Most significantly, since 2004, I've had the rare privelege of managing and collaborating with the legendary blues/jazz/rock-poet LOUIS TILLETT. Long may he reign.
