Rio Mezzanino

Founded in Florence in 1997 the Rio Mezzanino project experimented during the years a melting pot of different musical realities (rock, folk, blues, electronic, classic, jazz), never too far to contaminate each other.
Rio Mezzanino have on their own credit CD promo production (02, 03, 04, 06), live concerts (MEI 2007, Auditorium Flog, Sonar Ambasciata di Marte, Caffè la Torre), presence in contests (finalist in Rock Contest 2004, and Arezzo Wave 2005) and radio passaging (Rai Radio1, Controradio, Novaradio).
Recently they were protagonist of Radio RAI 1 DEMO Special, they received one of the DEMO RAI Award as best group at Faenza’s MEI 2007 and played opening Idaho concert at Viper Theatre in Florence.

Economy with Upgrade is Rio Mezzanino 's first LP, a musical travel realized with simple means but endowed with elements which make it precious and unique. A deep voice wrapped in a mix of warm acoustic sounds and acid electric incursions, western atmospheres marked by obsessive rhythmic and visionary lyrics like a mirage on a desert land.
Songs that range from soft noir-ballad to bossa rhythms tastes, that penetrate the soul rhythm of light cavalcades and solemn marches walks, finding oneself vibrating between distortions of a Mexican desert and gipsy dances.
Economy with Upgrade is produced by Danza Cosmica and Rio Mezzanino , and is going out on 10th April 2008 distributed by Audioglobe .

They have worked on jingles for “B-Side”, a radio program hosted by Bertallot on Radio Deejay, one of the most important national networks. They have participated to important events such as Italia Wave Love Festival, MUV Festival, Festival della Creatività.

Berna

Bernardo Baglioni played with Terje Nordgarden, a Norwegian songwriter; he is also a pop session-man. He was appointed “Best Italian Artist” at the “Emergenza European Acoustic Festival 2005”.
