*********************************************************** ITALIANO - Gli AmneSiA nascono nel marzo 2001 come progetto di Fabio Binarelli, chitarrista degli Holyland e Leonardo Serri, precedentemente insieme in Cloroformio e Disguise, band attive nel panorama underground fiorentino, negli anni tra il '95 e il 2000. Fin da subito si unisce a loro Matteo ‘Zola’ Niccolai, già bassista dei Cloroformio. Le precedenti esperienze dei tre, insieme e separatamente, determinano l'immediata sintonia del gruppo. Inizia la ricerca del cantante che dopo vari tentativi si concretizza nella scelta di Amerigo Balatri, ex voce dei Darkness, avvenuta a Novembre 2001. Determinazione e buona volontà portano presto ai primi risultati: la band, dopo un breve ma intenso periodo di lavoro per la costituzione del repertorio, si esibisce con notevole frequenza sui più importanti palchi dellla scena Metal toscana.Il gruppo ha infatti dimostrato di avere un'ottima versatilità e un alto livello di coinvolgimento in fase live che sta portando anche oltre i confini regionali (da ricordare soprattutto le splendide esibizioni al Transilvania di Bologna, al Venice Rock Festival e al Metal Camp). La musica degli AmneSiA ripercorre la storia dell' Heavy Metal in una rielaborazione personale, soffermandosi principalmente sull' esperienza Thrash, filo conduttore della loro produzione; ma l'imperativo è l'assoluta libertà di espressione, che rende impossibile la cristallizzazione sotto una sterile etichetta. *********************************************************** ENGLISH - AmnesiA was born in 2001 as a project of Fabio Binarelli, also guitarist in Holyland, and Leonardo Serri that played together in many bands from ’95 till 2000. Matteo ‘Zola’ Niccolai joins the two from the beginning and in November 2001 the three choose Amerigo Balatri, once singer of Darkness, to take care of the leading vocals. Will and determination bring the first results in a short time: live shows in the main metal underground clubs around Italy, Recording of the first Demo in July 2002, a track of which (Red Zone) is published on the compilation “Samigo top 100”, recording of the cover “Girls, girls, girls” in September 2003, published on the compilation “Wild Compilation Vol. 4” and finally, in March 2004 the recording of the mini-CD “Digression of Mind”, in which the bands reaches high levels in technique, composing and arranging, and also reaches better recording techniques thanks to Aliah, who follows the four as artistic producer. The band is now occupied in composing new songs and preparing personal and involving live shows. In fact the band has demonstrated a good versatility and has a special charisma at live shows. The music of AmnesiA travels over the history of Heavy Metal through a personal elaboration, stopping especially on the Thrash experience, the main stream of their production; nonetheless the first rule is the absolute freedom of expression, which makes it impossible to put the band under a sterile cataloguing, and which brings them to a constant search for new and various sonority. Therefore the multiplicity of musical influences makes them an eclectic band.
