The Spirit of the Living God Gospel Choir

LUCREZIA BALATRI CHRONISTER, having an Italian father and a mother from the United States, was born in Florence in 1976. Started as a small child singing in church and school and studying classical piano. Her actual career begun in 1998, as Gospel choir singer. She is now a choir director and jazz and pop singer, in Italy and in the States.Lucrezia Has done different projects and collaborated with different artists such as: Govinda, Michele Papadia, Leonardo Pieri, Fabrizio Moranti. Lorenzo Ressel, Daniele Mencarelli, Claudia Tellini, Titta Nesti, Maria Locerbo, Susan Galliano, Leonardo Volo, Filippo Giampaglia, Simone Papi, Guido Zorn, Stefano Allegra, Simone Marrucci, Aleandro Baldi, Achtung Babies, Richard Galliano, Nehemiah H. Brown, Jeff Jones, Riccardo Onori, Stefano Chigurni, Andrea Polinelli, Beat Noir, Mia Cooper, Giorgio Ammirabile, 4 Gatti, Rapsodi, Karima, ecc. In 2002 she worked in the making of the album Wish you were India of the group Govinda, as lead voice of the tracks "dance in xtc","starship", (soundtrack for tv commercials “LINES” e “Chinò Energy”) e "calling your name"(with her Gospel choir Spirit of the Living God). In 2003 “Lucrezia and the Best in Town project” was born and is now a very important part of her career.In 1998 she founded the Gospel choir Spirit of the Living God at the American Church of St.James in Florence. They now perform one Sunday a month in church and sing at concerts and services in and around Italy. In April 2006 they sang in Eurovision for the Ecumenical Easter Service and in July they recorded for the “Tony Tough 2” soundtrack with Lucrezia as lead singer. They also participated to the Livorno Gospel Festival in 2005 and 2006. From 1999 directs also the Lean on me Gospel Choir of the Athenaeum Musicale Fiorentino, where she also teaches modern singing She also worked as choir director and modern singing teacher at: S.
