Band Members: I love co-writing and group singing, and am so lucky and thankful to be working with some of the best in the business. "I Dream of You" is a co-write with the super-talented songwriter Tracy Scharf. Jon Hayes, the wonderful songwriter, engineer, and musician produced the track. "Another Way to Say Goodbye" is a co-write with Jon Hayes, who once again worked his magic producing the track. "High Time" is a co-write with the talented songwriter Tracy Scharf and writer, musician, engineer extraordinaire Richard Harris. Richard sang and produced the track. "Give it Away" is a co-write with Oakland's own bluesman Stev Schwartz, and features me on lead and backing vocals as well as Stev on backing vocals. Tony Lufrano produced the track. "Make it Move" is a co-write with me and my soul sistahs Kenya Aissa and Kimiko Joy, and the demo features Kimiko's fabulous voice, and Kenya's little brother Biko rapping. Nico produced the track. "Long Distance Lullaby" is a co-write with the excellent lyricist Ingrid Nielsen and features me on lead and bk vocals. The track was done by movie music man Marcus Barone, and the incomparable Bonnie Hayes (songwriter, keyboard wiz, producer, ProTools expert--is there anything she can't do?) recorded the vocals and did the final mix.
Influences: I like music that makes me feel something—joy, exuberance, melancholy, sadness, excitement; calm—whatever.
