You're thinking, "Alison, the world loves a comedian with a guitar! It's not hack at all!" Okay, fine. But trust me. I know what I'm doing. My performances are a combination of my stand-up comedy (as influenced by my favorites: Mitch Hedberg, George Carlin, Chelsea Handler, Jim Gaffigan) and my comedic songs that tend to be, well, dirty--although I prefer to call them sophisticatedly raunchy. Come check it out! I promise you'll like it. I also write screenplays. Last year, I was hired to write a short film called Lady Fingers (http://www.ladyfingers-themovie.com/CREW.html). I am now working on my first feature as well as a couple of webisodes including "Cooking with Alison" (I should mention here that I don't cook) and "The Real Housewives of Madison County" (A reality show about lonely farmers' wives who dream of extramarital affairs with covered bridge photographers). I've spent some time writing "real" songs as well. I was one of 14 artists chosen to participate in a songwriting “boot camp” with top-Nashville songwriter, Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill). I've been featured on Songwriter Universe’s On-line Magazine and I received honorable mention in the NSAI Songwriting Contest. So that's me.
